Hey guys, I'm Ryan, a long time lurker/sculptor. I've just recently started sculpting again but I've been frequenting NIGHTOWL for several years now. We were all exposed to masks and special effects differently. I grew up playing with my dad's original foam latex masks. At his peak, he did some work on a few B horror movies shot in my hometown (Tulsa) before I was born. He's always enjoyed doing this kind of work but he hasn't had nearly as much time to pursue it like he used to and doesn't do it nearly as much anymore. And unfortunately, all of his older pieces were foam latex and have since deteriorated. We finally scanned some pics and got some vhs captures from a rough cut of a few scenes from a movie called "The Change". I tried to look it up on imdb and found nothing. Hopefully when my dad retires, he can start creating again. Enjoy the pics!
    -Ryan

I remember seeing that werewolf mask your dad made a long time ago. I remember that LF mask you sculpted as well, one of my first masks.

Nothing beats the look of the 80's practical/appliance make up effects. You should be very proud of him!

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-a-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
