...but mine was FULL of luck! I paid a visit to my pal James Mangrum yesterday afternoon. Got to shoot the sh!t and check out some of the HUD busts he was working on. I really cannot say enough about the detail and accuracy of this piece. Hearing James describe each and every detail that went into this bust made it that much more amazing. During our conversations, I'd find myself staring at the busts and almost losing concentration. I have never in my life been so impressed with a piece.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get in on the first run, but rest assured, I will have the earliest spot possible for run 2. This will easily be the end-all-be-all of any Final Chapter piece. If you are debating getting in on the next run, DON'T! For the price, it's certainly a freakin steal. These puppies are true works of art and I will proudly display mine for as long as I live.

Anyways, I had a blast shooting the sh!t with James and I can surely see us hanging out more often. We've already decided that's a must! The man is a artistic genius and a genuinely nice guy at that. I strongly suggested that he should stop by my place and whip up a couple hockey masks soon. Can you imagine what that guy could do with one?!

Here are a few pics I snapped while I was there. (NOTE: The busts pictured are NOT mine. They will soon be sent out to their lucky customers!)

Great pics Scott! It's nice to see more of these, and so close to being sent out. James' work looks so consistent... simply amazing! This is also a piece that will never leave my collection

Hands down the best Part 4 I've seen. The shape of the head with the hockey mask on is dead ringer!

If I had to sum it up in one word , it'd be perfection . How much were these again ? I may have to try and pull some money together sometime .

I am very glad that you stopped by yesterday. It's great to know that there is a fellow artist, horror enthusiast, and NIGHTOWL member in the same town! You are certainly welcome to stop by anytime, and definitely looking forward to trying my hand at some hockey mask painting at your place.

As for the HUD busts, I'm finally, FINALLY getting the first run finished up. Those three busts next to my proto are all that remain now, and after that I have 2 flawed copies (already spoken for) to paint up. So, fingers crossed, I am hoping to start up on the next run in the next couple months.

Once again, it was an absolute blast yesterday Scott, we must hang out again.

You said it, James! Like I said yesterday, I'm not sure who all is already on the list for the 2nd run, but I will gladly take the closest available spot in advance! This piece is a MUST have! It really gets me in the F4 vibe! (Which has always been my favorite along with 3 close behind!)

    More pics to come!

Just insane work Mr. Mangrum!! Scott your a lucky fella to have him so close by, that would be awesome to have some friends I have here live close to me.
Im one of the first on the list and cannot wait to get ready for this!!
The final chapter is probably my ultimate favorite of the series followed in sequence to the original on.
I am pumped about getting this piece.
