I have not collect latex mask for a long time, i am pretty new in it.

So my question for you out there is... How shoud i display/ take care off my mask on the best way so i have them in perfect condition a longer time. Some off you that has post pictures here has plastic bags (bad English) inside the mask, i gues that is for the shape of the mask. ? I got all my movie items in a room with out windows.

If someone also has a bad experience with latex mask, what can happen..let me know.

    Thanks.
    Mikael

The best way I think is to put in a glass shelf but if you dont do that then just make sure it doesnt get dusty. Stuff it with garbage bags too. When if you put it on or after so long with it sitting there then put some baby powder or corn starch inside it so it wont break down the mask inside..

Oh and for a bad experience, I left an old crappy mask in a box where lights where (dont know if that had anything to do with it) but it melted inside the box on a few other things I had in there.. Pretty sticky situtation..

Keep them out of direct sunlight.
Keep them away from radiators and heating ducts as you don\'t want them to be exposed to extreme changes in temperature as your heating switches on and off. A cool but deffinatly not cold or damp environment is best.
Support them well on a good stand and stuffed with plastic bags, but not newspaper as the ink can transfer to the latex.
If you ever wear them carefully wipe in inside after you take it off with a damp cloth them powder the inside with baby talc, sweat eats the latex.
And above all don\'t feed them after midnight!

I left a lovely one of a kind Freddy mask, from an fx artist in London in a box with my other horror memorabelia when I was about 19....I came back to it years later and half of it had liquified....Sad
