What made you decide to order from DMC?

    1. I\'m a stickler for authenticity (I am of the belief that they use the original mask molds).
    2. David Miller did the masks for F13: ANB, and I assume his people would have access to a decent artist\'s proof, and reference materials.
    3. The DMC hockey masks are perfectly smooth, like the screen-used.
    4. The tales of them producing either a breath-taking artwork or an awful paint job (I expected the former, not the latter).
    5. Dumb faith

I chose the first option, which means that he just made me a new Roy, and I got to keep the bad one as well for a throw away mask to put on my Jason sculpts-in-progress...

You don\'t need to take the rivets out, you can weather them just fine while still on the mask! I do this to all the rivets I use, and it works great. Take a medium grit sandpaper, 120 or so, and rip off just a tiny piece, little bigger then the rivet head. Put the sand paper over the rivet, and twist it around with your thumb, rub it back and forth, and side to side. Do that to all 3 until you have a pretty random looking scratch pattern. Next, take a little Raw umber acrylic paint, or straight black if you prefer, and using a small bit of sponge, dab the paint on the rivet till it\'s pretty well covered, then take a bit of cloth and dab over the paint, taking most of it off. What you\'ll end up with is paint mostly in the scratches and grooves, making it look pretty authentically worn.

frodosexual -full credit to Jeff aka creamedgeezer for that.

You should get mike to repaint the bad one, I\'d love to see what he\'d do with a dmc pull.
