Just so you know, it doesn\'t really make a difference whether you get reference pictures of the mask with or without cheek triangles. It\'s all the same exact mask.

The only difference in REPLICA terms that you would make to a part 4 without triangles, is just that: lack of triangles. Replace the stickers/red paint with a couple dark spots that stay inside the lines of where the triangles originally would be.

yeper what he said tris fell off thats y there not there and part 6 was suppose to be the part 4 without tris jsut not painted right why elkse would tommy have a dirty mask with a ax cut if not the 4 then 7 was the same jsut smaller to fit kanes head no idea bout 8 thats gayness

Jimmy was a fan of jason much like we are, he had a street hockey mask that he customized with the axe cut which im sure he saw in pictures or on the news or he just heard it happened.....jason took that mask as his own

Even though that\'s the "official unofficial" explanation, and is more or less accepted by all, you have to admit one thing...The odds for something like that to happen are ASTRONOMICAL. Haha! That\'s what makes these movies so fun though. PURE CHEESEY GOODNESS!

He still had the slash in 6 and 7.  8 was a new Hockey Mask, which for some reason aslo had the slash mark.

*theory*
Part 6 was a new Hockey Mask as well, it wasn\'t like Tommy had the Hockey Mask from part 4. As theory would go, Tommy still had the Roy hockey mask from part 5 and repainted the mask to how he remembered it in his dreams. And if you remember the dream sequences such as when he saw Jason in the mirror out the window, the mask was very similar to how it appears in part 6.

Tommy was a mask maker...maybe the bastard recasted it from roy\'s Hockey Mask!
