I saw the movie as well tonight and I enjoyed it quite a bit. My only gripes were the end, it just seemed to upbeat and optimistic for a Romero flick, and the CGI element I felt they just detracted from the quality gore going on. There were alot of head shots going around and for the most part they were CGI I just thought some good old exploding heads like in dawn of the dead and day of the dead would have been more suitable. Other than those two minor concerns I thought the movie was really quite good alot better than some other recent zombie flicks I\'ve seen *cough* Resident evil series *cough* House of the dead *cough*

this movie was really great in my opinion. it had a storyline and there were some gruesome killings in it and it stuck true to the originals that Romero did. The whole zombie having an evolution thing was what really entertained me a whole bunch.

Just saw the movie last night also and have to agree that its great. Having the old school style zombie back was awesome. Don\'t understand why people would say there is lack of story? It is a continuation of the series so its pretty self explanitory. Had all the elements it needed to incorporate I would say. I was wondering is it confirmed that was Bub in the bar. I have to agree the makeup looked just like him, but the wardrobe was off and I didn\'t see it in the credits anywhere???? I hope it is Bub though. And haveing Savini in it was really sweet, I think my row *consisted of 15 of my friends who like the dead movies* was the only one to cheer when they showed him.

If you go into a zombie movie expecting a plot, you will be very dissapointed. I like how Romero\'s films showcase what real life people would do in a zombie apocalypse; they wouldn\'t want to know who or what created these things, they just want to know how to rid of them......also, zombies are pretty much the apes we are "related" to; very instinctive, but can evolve into a zombie like Bub for instance. I can\'t wait to see this movie because I am in love with Dawn and Day.

Quote:Well....  I just got back from Land of the Dead.  And my GOD!  That movie... *coughs* SUCKED *coughs*  No plot.  Loved the gore and mindless killing.  But, where\'s the story!  *big puppy eyes*

The best part of the night was the 4 car pile up in the parking lot.  Some stupid kids were racing, we assume, and then uhm, well, we\'re not sure after that.

    *sighs*

Where\'s the story? What are you slow or something?

I gotta say Romero still has it. This movie was amazing and a perfect way to end the series. Beautiful. I gotta see it again.
