I believe that was there even from when the movie was made, if you look at teh burnt/melted mask floating in the water at the end, you can see the same crack.

For kicks, I just compared the eBay mask to 8 screen caps I had from different points throughout the film. I noticed the crack as well...could pass it off as wear/abuse over time. But to me the tri\'s weren\'t quite right (size and direction) as well as other markings on the screen Hockey Mask...

ex. scratch by left eye hole, big mark on left cheek, mark on nose looks different.

What do you guys think? Regardless...I won\'t be buying it

Looks good, but I doubt its the same mask as in those pics, possibly a stunt mask, but no hero..

yea its definatly legit, not doubt

the shape and eyes are round just how they should...definatly not a hero, prolly a pic up shot mask, sure its got some differences than we are used to seeing like the vent hole notch...but cmon like they put that detail in ever copy (which is obviously more than 2 :lol: )

anybody remember the pic of the fx guy for pt6 with like at least 10 hockey masks around him? i wouldn\'t say only two were made per movie. it is definately A movie mask though. but hey, i wouldn\'t pay $20,000 for it anyway. Thats A LOT!!

After doing LOTS of comparing....that cant be the same...maybe a stunt mask, that was in a couple of scene but if he\'s meaning it was a full time used Hockey Mask then he\'s full of shit. There is just so many differences...I just cant see how that could be one used in the film. <_<

more in the later half of the series, lots of hockey masks were made for the films, IE that FX pic golem mentioned...

there so many scenes shot and cut and edited and lighted that i dont see how there can be a doubt that this one on ebay wasnt on kanes head at some point during shooting
