Can someone please help me out? I need to buy some resin for casting hockey masks. I looked on ebay but no luck. I don\'t want to us ABS plastic because it dosn\'t give the mask a "True Feeling," if you know what I mean.Does anyone know of a site, or something? It would really help me out!!

    Thanks, bubba74

The ones on screen were all (except JX and FvJ) around .070 ABS, VERY thin plastic. So ABS is the most screen sccurate way to go, and actually if you were going to use a mask for street hockey you\'d want an ABS much more over resin or fiberglass, MUCH stronger on the whole, fiberglass would shatter, and resin would crack. To me the only real true feel for a hockey mask comes with ABS.

Listin to Travis, I have a hockey made of resin, one made of fiberglass and 2 made of .090 ABS. The fiberglass mask would shatter if I dropped it on a hard surface, and the resin one has excessive thick spots which make it look kinda funny plus if if bent it back far enough it would break. The ABS hockeys I can drop and bend all the way back and not worry about them breaking, plus according to the guy at my local sports shop, most of the "real" sports equipment are now ABS or some type of high impact plastic.

I know what he means..He wants them to feel like a REAL old hockey mask and the hockey masks from the 60s and 70s were often a really strong fiberglass

Exactly! I just think resin is 10 times better than ABS. Also thanks Ft13voorhees, Ill have to go pick some up really soon.
