    Im making a zombie outfit for halloween, and will prob be using an old suit....does anyone have any good suggestions as to how to make it look like its come out of the earth. I need that dusty rotted look...

    Watered down brown and gray acrylic paints always work great to simulate a very dirty worn look. Use sandpaper on the suit as well or scrape in on concrete to shred it a bit. I\'m doing the same thing this year so I\'ll post pics as soon as my suit is completed.

    After you do the sand paper and maybe cut it with a steak knife in a few select places wash it about 10 times to give it that worn frayed look. Then do the paints and dyes and wash it a few more times to give it that muted dirt look rather than the freshly painted "dirt look". If it\'s a lighter colored suit cofee and tea work great to stain it and give it the earthen tones that being buried would bring about.
