Best bet, cover the whole armature in clay, build a good mass up, never follow the contours of the MM bust, you may get in a rut, chop the nose & ears off. It looks like you may have made the neck higher up to, if you did, good call! get skull reference & start digging out the general shapes & proportions of a human skull, like Mutilated said, get a ton of ref photo\'s I no Mcfarlane did a figure to, best thing in life to sculpture from is a 3 dimensional object & Mcfarlanes is pretty dam good. Just have fun with it & don\'t stress cause it will come out good, the more you stress the worse it will be LOL. All & all if you have a passion for the character & to sculpture it will turn out great. For what you are doing now I don\'t see a problem at all, it will just be a smaller mask more of second skin if you will. Which is sometimes a really good thing. Keep on playing with the clay & let us know of your progress.
