We have been using a samsung 17" LCD at myGame Crazy, with zero burn in, its been over a year 1080i on it. Hell, the 360 didn\'t even last 8 mos. the screen should give you no problems.
Now for the pro\'s and cons.
Dlp however amazing and top of the line(as with any projection monitor) has a bulb, this bulb is 200-900$ to replace! and you will have to replace it eventualy, granted they are 60,000 (give or take) hour bulbs or somthing but paying 1\4th what you paid for the tv to replace the bulb to me is rather pricy.
what i plan to do is get myself a 20 inch wide screen lcd just for gaming and leave the other tv for watching tv. i dunno its up to you. i however like the fact i have it all plugged in one spot. i don\'t like having "stations" for my stuff a computer station and a gaming station and a tv. but if it saves me cash in the long run....
as for connections make sure it has atleast DVI on it, not sure if there is a dvi for x360 yet but if opssable do it.
You could also spend 300$ on a computer monitor and get the rgb(or again dvi ) connection and have 720p(i think)regaurdless it will look lightyears better than any standard television.
