Paypal is Safe if your smart...This might get a few people upset but all in all its for everyone...
First off Paypal is safe, if the person who has an account is not an idiot. I\'m not saying anyone is...
For one thing if you dont get your goods, you can get your money. The record of everything, and if you use CC you can do a charge back...
Hacking Hacking, you know I know alot of PROFESSIONAL people that are into computers for a living..I use to hear my email was hacked, my E Bay was hacked, my pay pal was hacked. Now anyone who knows anything about computers, servers ect knows that you cant hack Hotmail, e bay, or Paypal, its like Hacking the DMV, or a Bank...Not the Average person anyway...
My X GF use to think her email was hacked when infact it was her stupidity that got ME into it..Long story...
First off, Paypal will NEVER SEND YOU AN E MAIL, inless you bought something, and sent money or transfered money and that happens the instint you do it or within the first 2 min...
Where people make the BIG mistake is they get these emails that say DEAR PAY PAL MEMEMBER, or USER, which are bogus, or something in that forman, if Pay Pal emailed you they know who you are, they have a direct number to CALL THEM...
The email say your accounts been frozen or an email been added or something like that...Click her to verify, Click her to do whatever, once you click your DONE, FINISHED...Your account has been accessed through a 3rd source or as we call it Back doored...Thats what happened I\'m afraid to say....
I use to just email the person back and say I just traced the IP which is easy if you change the options on an email to show the whole body of the email, which includes the IP ect. and send this to the FBI first, It would come back to me but it was fun doing it. Then I take the e mail and give it to paypal you need the advanced options on to get the whole body of the letter, with the IP..And of course in a days time it was bogus, but at least they have an IP...
NEVER CLICK ON ANYTHING TO DO WITH E BAY OR PAY PAL, NEVER EVER! They will never send you an email, and they most never will tell you to click on anything. If in doubt call them up on the phone direct..EASY as THAT! Now they have to trace that IP, where they took out your $2000 so its going to take time...
Thats My Advice!
