<!--quoteo(post=265129:date=Jun 28 2008, 08:31 AM:name=wickedbeard)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(wickedbeard @ Jun 28 2008, 08:31 AM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=265129\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecI got some good latex from bodybagging.com off e-bay.works nicely. You can use this method for the exposed flesh areas of the shirts.I get an old pair of light colored denim pants, cut out the parts to put under the holes and rips, and coat them in latex and either use TP or paper towel bits for texture, or anything light you can sprinkle on the latex(gravel makes great texture) and give it another thick coat, let it dry and paint. As for the dish gloves, those work ok, but they are really hard to pull on and off, unless you spread goop over a jersey glove and stick your hand in the dish glove. It will add girth to the hands, and make it easier to remove and put on.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndHow exactly do you use latex? What do you mean "dip" the glove in it? Do I pour the latex into another container and then dip the whole glove in, or do I just paint it on coat by coat? Won't the latex dry out? Not sure if I want a huge tub or not, I may get 32 oz but I do not know how much is enough.I will probably use the same method as I did my other costumes and just make an undershirt so that I can cover up what is needed with the weathered overshirt, then cut out the pieces to reveal it that way. Also what was your weathering techniques for part 7 and 8? Also you said you cut other parts ot and latex them from pants, do you then sew or glue them in? I would probabaly glue them then sew them to be extra secure.Does latex ruin the paint brush?
