Yeah it is always a good compliment when people ask me where the heck I bought my costume. Also sort of an insult too, but they say it looks awesome and think I bought the stuff. Yeah I mixed some on the cardboard box surface and it worked well, I also used a styrofoam cup. It is dry now and the paint is much more flexible. Plus you learn something every time you make something. I may start the part 8 arms soon, but not sure exactly what color I will go with as I do not have an undermask yet. Maybe grey mixed with some white.I also want to avoid a lot of sewing, and am trying to figure out how to use those shin/knee parts. Sewing takes way too long and if you mess up and the shins are not placed right you have to start all over. I also do not want to wear and underpants underneath as it gets pretty hot and tight. So I may just cut off the parts and keep the fabric intact, and slip them on and sew velcro straps around the backs so I can strap them on underneath the pants and show through. I also do not know how fabric glue will work to hold them, or if they will stay in position. But I i know if I connect them to my actual legs they will always be in the right position. What did you do for the shins?I am glad you inspired to do a remake as it is a lot of fun, and sometimes a pain in the ass. Which costume have you cursed while making the most? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> Sometimes you get so close to getting something exactly like you wantr it, then somethign messes it up. But yeah it is far more gratifying to see something you made yourself, and the feeling is priceless. Creativity is one of my strongest virtues.
