I use a solder with acid core flux so it pretty much goes where I want it The flux doesnot spill over anything. I also use a coating to keep this from happening where I dont want the solder. My method has changed constantly also. First I put a base coat before patina helps the patina have a more even coat, then buff then add color than buff, then final coating (top secret). Its not like the Pt1 you had the "promo" Its something new that will not come off. You see I have been doing this for yrs and I still change my methods. I am never happy. This is why I am still around I feel I still have new better things to offer all the time.
