Thanks for your responses, guys. It just hit me after I initially posted the topic that I might be treading on thin ice here. My intention was simply to get the most life out the piece - that's all. I've just started collecting more horror memorabilia to display, and the whole 'natural degradation of latex' thing has me a bit worried. I mean, I like sunlight guys. If I can open the blinds and let it in, I will. I'm just concerned about having the bust in such an environment. I mean, what's the point of having a really cool bust if you hide it in your closet under a plastic bag to keep it 'preserved'?The bust in question is a unpainted latex foam filled bust of Freddy Krueger from www.monsterasylum.com. (I plan on having it painted at some point here in the future...well, now that recasting is out.) I've just purchased it from Devileyes here on the boards (see classifieds section for addition pics.)Is there a way it can be 'sealed' after painting? Some kind of matte finish? I mean it's not like it has to be flexible or anything.Thanks a lot for your input guys - I really appreciate it!
