From my understanding, Rich offered to sell what he thought (and had been told at time of purchase) was a screen used machete from Jason X for $5,500. Mario told him the machete was not screen matchable, therefore not an actual machete used on in the film but a possible production machete. Mario was unwilling to spend $5,500 on a machete that he couldn't match to the screen (because he had spent $3,000 in the past for actual screen matchable ones), so Rich lowered the price to a more reasonable one. Mario took the chance, saying that he was glad to purchase this production made, unmatchable to screen, machete. Rich, who is currently suffering from a very harmful condition, needed to sell this fast, so without buying the DVD himself, and watching scene for scene using each machete, sold it based on Mario's word as a production machete.Mario received the machete, took photographs, posted it on his website, and now claims, "This is one of the hero metal machetes used by Kane Hodder as Jason. It was also used later in the film to hit Jason," (Fridaythe13thProps.de), contradictory to what he told you at first when the fact that it might not be screen used benifited him. Whether that description of the prop is true or not, Mario lied to someone.From what I'm reading, as Rich said, Mario has still yet to argue this very point, and is using everything surrounding the situation to benifit his side.<b>Mario, the only response that can actually contribute anything to this thread is:</b> is the machete screen used or not? If so, why did you tell Rich otherwise when you knew he'd lower the price because of it? If not, why is it still listed on your site as screen used, listing a specific use for the machete on screenFrom the looks of it, the machete may very well be a production made machete due to uncanny similarities in technique, but is not the one in the stills on your website.
