Well Ryan, I have to say that although it was sad to see this completed piece go, it doesn't come anywhere near the sense of satisfaction of knowing that this bust is with it's rightful owner. It's been an almost unimaginably long time coming, but now that the day has come and gone, I almost can't believe it. An unbelievable amount of work led up to this point, and your help along the way made the final product possible.
Jason, I never got a chance to reply to the thread you posted a little while back. I'm glad you made it back home safely, and I appreciate the call, thank you.
And, of course thanks to everyone else for the great compliments. Since I spend hours and days staring at these pieces as I work on them, my perception of them is very skewed, and seeing all of your reactions and perceptions of these busts is my biggest reward. Thanks again guys!
Also, I'm still putting in all the time I can on the rest of the run. Although my focus is certainly on quality over speed of production, I hope to cover a lot of ground over the coming weeks. I think I may finally be developing a rhythm in this production.
