well they say everything happens in 3's, so after iron man, the hulk, and dark knight, we are in for some shitty flicks.I was very impressed, and I absolutely loved ledgers portrayal of the joker.

Man . . . as much as I thought Ledger nailed the Joker (magic trick scene was beatass), I thought Eckhart pulled off a freakin' great Harvey Two-Face. If this was the last Batman film, then I'd be a happy guy. It surpassed all the hype and really was a great film. I was NEVER a big fan of the Joker, minus a few of the comic book interpretations, but Ledger stood tall in this movie. I was afraid all the hype surrounding him was just due to his death, but that wasn't the case. The guy created a character that will go down in movie/comic history as the single best Joker ever in my opinion. The subtle things were the best. Like his telling and re-telling of how he became the way he was . . . . just like the Joker, never the same thing twice. And again, Bale, was dead-on.

Two -face was cool, and I like what they did to the face rather than just slapping some makeup on.Tommy lee jones was horrible in the role.Very refreshing to see things done right. This will not be the last one happily.I heard the riddler is next, and bale said he is more than happy to do more films.

Good Lord! This film is incredible. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Hats off to Mr. Nolan he did an outstanding job. My favorite comic movie for sure. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

When Wayne was asking Fox what the new suit could stand up to and he said something about cats. That kind of concerns me.

*SPOILER WARNING*Now I, as well, have just come home from seeing the Dark Knight. First off.....Heath Ledger.... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> DAMN AMAZING! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> The man made we want to come home, paint my face, and wreak some hell...The series is getting darker and it is obvious. Harvey Dent was amazing as well, although him dying before the movie was out a little bit of a dissapointment. It was great to see some closure to the Scarecrow as well. Batman's new suit was very good as well I thought.A few of the movie's weak points. The girl who played Rachael looked to be in her 50's, not a good casting decision there. The movie's plot was kinda hard for me to follow...so I got lost a bit.And the ending, I need help on, if someone can explain it...to me it just didn't make sense, it seemed as though they were implying that there wouldn't be a sequel.

Usually if you have a villain throughout most of the film, it is hard to bring that villain back in a sequal unless you change him/her around some. If he were to be in 3, many viewers would feel as though they had already seen it all in 2, and nothing would be too exciting. Joker, on the other hand, is a character in which could return because he is so dynamic. Not to mention the history he and Batman gain over the years. The ending basically eluded to Batman Begins, with Batman having to start from square one. Not being able to simply walk down the street without cops chasing him down and trying to arrest him. The only cop that EVER trusted Batman was Gordan. Batman is a vigialante. He is liked by some, and hated by most. Being apart of society would do nothing but cause more problems in the long run. Batman thought that Dent was a good man, and that HE was the hero that Gotham needed. Not a man who hides his face behind a mask. There for, he took the blame for the deaths that Dent caused, and led everyone to believe that Dent was still that "hero"that the city needed. Long story short, he is basically going back to his roots. Lurking in the darkness, and helping the city without letting glory and heroism go to his head. Fighting crime for the RIGHT reasons. <!--quoteo(post=267471:date=Jul 18 2008, 06:47 PM:name=LeatherfaceFan07)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(LeatherfaceFan07 @ Jul 18 2008, 06:47 PM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=267471\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotec*SPOILER AHEAD*I feel like maybe they hinted at Catwoman, which to me would be a waste. He said "dogs you dont have to worry about...but CATS!....thats a different story!"Also, I believe Maroni (spelling?) will become Penguin eventually. As the comic fans know, Penguin was basically the largest mob boss in the city, whom even Joker worked for. He didn't physically appear like a penguin as Danny Devito portrayed however. He was more of a heavy set man who carried a cain and "wadled" as he walked, being the reason he was givin the name "Penguin". I noticed that after Batman broke Maroni's legs, he was wadling down the steps of the jailhouse while holding a cane. He then did a fancy twirl with the cane before he got into the car. I can easily see him building up the character of the Penguin, or even just giving him the nickname in the next film. Although, I've also heard that Nolan will not be doing Penguin OR Catwoman in the next film. He said that there are pletny of villains from the original 60's show that may make an appearance, so I'm curious to who he's going to decide on. But as we all know, Nolan is absolutely genious with his advertising and promos, so for all we know he could be telling a fib to throw us off untill the final decision is made. _____________________________________________________________
