I'd only send a money order/check if I KNOW the seller. Waay too much fraud running rampant on that site to take chances..............................Larry

Ebay has their own monopoly with selling items on the internet. As a seller you are hit 3 times before you get your cash. Insertion fee , final value fee and Paypal fee.The nickname Fee-Bay is 100% correct.Money orders are a complete waste of time as most people screw you over when you send one for a payment. Not to mention that they cost me $5 just to get one made.

Money orders suck, you might aswell burn your money. At least with paypal if someones gonna rip u off, you can get it back and paypal will freeze there account, or banned. If they get alot of attention.I say good news for ebay!

This is a bad choice, most people need mo's and checks like me so now not a lot of people can't get what they want, like a childhood memory toy but they don't have paypal so they can't get their memorys back. Well, Michael-Myers.net is my new Ebay.

Look I am not saying the whole the shipping over chargers aren't jerks or that money orders are good. See the guys who do sales for 0.01 and charge $199.99 for shipping are basically fee dodging which what ebay wants to stop. I don't usually buy from them anyway. What I am saying is telling people how they conduct business or what kind payments they can accept is wrong. Forcing people to use paypal only is unconstitutional. People should be able to accept any payment they want. Case in point, Microsoft got sued for making people use Internet Explorer when they installed windows. They lost and had to open it up to free trade.Besides I deal with tons of people who don't trust paypal, what happens to them? When they start forcing this, what's next? I don't think it's right.

On another forum, a guy tried to get me to send a MO for $550 for goods... I wouldn't go for it, and insisted on Paypal. Turns out that my stuff never came; so I followed all of Paypals procedures, and got 100% of my money refunded. Their system DOES work. The only thing that does bother me about eBay, is when they raise their fee's. Thats the bad part. I don't think the check/MO issue is a bad thing at all. It probably makes it much easier for them to settle disputes if they just eliminate it all together. If I ran that kind of business, I'd probably do the same.

I suspect it's to protect us from idiots like this selling cheap and no specification shipping but saying he will charge handling, packaging time etc. Loser. Read his small print - what a twat.<a href=\"http://cgi.ebay.com/Extra-Long-FREDDY-KRUEGER-GLOVE-New-Nightmare-elm-COOL_W0QQitemZ110282225527QQihZ001QQcategoryZ197QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZVieItem\" target=\"_blank\">http://cgi.ebay.com/Extra-Long-FREDDY-KRUE...1QQcmdZViewItem</a>

As an international eBayer I have been overcharged on shipping many times.I guess this falls under the " HANDLING " part or the make a buck on shipping at the buyers's expense.<!--quoteo(post=273051:date=Aug 22 2008, 09:11 AM:name=adee)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(adee @ Aug 22 2008, 09:11 AM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=273051\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecI suspect it's to protect us from idiots like this selling cheap and no specification shipping but saying he will charge handling, packaging time etc. Loser.
