I've never read the graphic novel, so I can be totally objective in my review. I'll keep it short and sweet and say that I thought it was long and boring. The story and the action took quite a bit to pick up and when it did it was nothing exciting or stuff that hasn't been done before. I think I went in expecting too much due to the hype that surrounded the film.

I think that may be what watered it down for me too was the hype. I'm only 20 so I didn't read this when it came out. Just read it about a year ago and watched the motion comic to brush up.

Small differences for the most part from the comic but pretty faithful altogether. I can definitely see why people may not enjoy it as the first hour and a half may be a bit confusing or boring for some folks. But I loved it.We didn't have the same problem you did, though with people being annoying as we watched it in a private auditorium. That's the only way I can watch movies these days without killing people.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndIt was great all the way up to the ending. They paid such attention to so many small details and then decide to change the whole ending how does that make sense?Loved it for the most part but really disappointed with Hollywood destroying another amazing story... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/verymad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":verymad:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"verymad.gif\" />

Rorschach was easily my favorite character in Watchmen. The whole prison scene was awesome!"I'm not locked up in here with you all.... you're all locked up with MEEEEEEEE!!!"<img src=\"http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/rr194/ThatThereItalian/rorschach.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

Okay as I Said I Really liked it even though I was distracted by two morons behind me(not directly but off to the side) . There were two or three about 18 to 20 years old and the whole movie they kept saying how much it sucked and how nothing was happening. When Night Owl (II) says "what happened to the american dream"? The one guys says " what happened to the american movie?" He always kept complaining about how nothing was happening and even told dr. manhattan to shut up. They left once and came back then left for good about 15 minutes before the end.I could tell the audience I was with didn't like it.I liked it though. I really liked patrick wilson ad Night Owl and Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan.

Seen the Watchmen movie last night.I really enjoyed Jackie Earle Haley's performance as Rorschach.I still can not believe that he was Kelly from the Bad News Bears.
