Thanks... been working hard to get it to look right. I tried a different method with the same chemicals and got this look. This is pretty much what I've been shooting for. The faded light brown:<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/BrownFinger.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

This is how the underside of the glove looks:<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/Justin3.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />The glove in the film didn't appear to have much staining on areas other than the cut areas:<img src=\"http://nightmareonelmstreetfilms.com/image/nightmare2promo09.JPG\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndI'll give you the part about less money = less weathering, but you don't seem to understand where I'm coming from.I'm not talking about "discoloration" on the glove. You've added enough of that already. I'm talking about the stretched-out, REALLY old appearance of the leather. Take a look at that picture...Notice the many small folds, wrinkles, and creases associated with a glove that's been used heavily for decades? That's what I'm talking about. Your gloves look like brand new, factory leather. And though I don't have any idea how to replicate that wrinkled appearance, I thought it would still bear mentioning. Also, I don't think you're cutting your palm and finger holes large enough. Check out this picture:[attachment=28888:ANOES011.jpg]Cheers,Ryan

I do see that but I'm not going to go to lengths of replicating the glove so identically that it's not worth the price for me to make it anymore. My objective is to get as close as possible while still remaining affordable for most people. That includes sacrificing some details. The hole in the palm on my glove is actually very big but doesn't look like it until your hand is in it. When the glove is worn, it shows the same amount of your palm and lower thumb. As for the fingers, I am cutting them smaller than in the film because 99% of people want it to be more functional rather than identical. Cutting the holes so big cause your fingers to fall out of the glove and most would prefer that they don't. I've NEVER had anyone ask me to cut the holes larger but many have asked for the holes to be smaller. I appreciate the suggestions though.

Holy Moses that's phenomenal Mark!!! love the faded brown look- very accurate imo. <a href=\"http://www.toddscostumes.com/indy/leather%20gear/how_to_distress_gloves.htm\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.toddscostumes.com/indy/leather%...ress_gloves.htm</a> According to this, you can just dampen the glove with some rubbing alcohol, and just wrinkle the glove and give it the worn, wrinkly texture <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

I LOVE the part 2 glove. I know its the same as the original with a few differences, but I love the backplate further down the glove. I think it looks more menacing for some reason.Any pics of some 2s youve done with the custom screw rivet?

Too busy trying to get my Part 4 and Part 1's to the point of satisfaction. As for the alcohol, I've tried it and I didn't get much out of it in terms of distressing and I am not going to use the black paint anymore... it dries out the leather.

You asked for "opinions" on the glove, so I gave 'em. Good luck with your glove design(s).Cheers,Ryan
