The green comes from natural oxydation of the copper. That's why the Statue of Liberty is blue green. I've seen plenty of copper take on that green hue over the years. It's just a natural process.-Joseph

that'd be good to know . so since i don't go to FS , how did this topic get started on the other site ? did the guy just get it , is he trying to seel it , just wanting info , or what ? how did he come across finding it in the first place ? i personally think it would be cool to have someone let Robert know that the glove has finally been found after all these years and see what he says about it . not that he'd prob. care but i just thought it would be rather interesting . mike,

The glove sold on an auction site under the presumptive story that it was a glove built for the 5th film and came with a COA. Someone saw this glove sell for $700 and he tracked down the buyer and was able to buy it off of him for an undisclosed amount. The glove is now in that person's posession and I am completely sold that the story about it being from the 5th film is bogus. A lot of stories can be made up after 20+ years. Again though... the photos I post later tonight should convince everyone that it's really the "one". <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

You can tell in both photos that the blade is soldered side by side.<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/Compare1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />This photo compares the solder marking on the end of the blade, the size of the rivet on the index finger, and also the small solder marking where the ringlet was attached.<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/Compare2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />This one compares the irregularly cut "U" shape in the base of the middle fingertip. You can easily see that the curve is angled up more on the right side of the blade.<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/Compare3.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />This photo compares a TINY marking in the copper from the cutting tool on the pinky finger. The images have been modified to enhance the staining. The photo on the right was taken from the opening sequence of Nightmare 1. The stain is nearly identical, though the current photo seems to have a slight bit of additional aging but you can surely tell that the stains are practically the same.Ladies and gents.... the Hero has been discovered.

Great pictures Mark. Awesome those features are visible. The irregular "U" on the base of the middle finger tip is one I was looking for.I'm becoming pretty convinced this is the hero as well.
