It\'s a 2002 SAR-1 from Romania, this is my first rifle. I almost got a AR-15 because I have experience with it from the military. But the $$ is to high. So I got a AK instead, and I\'ve heard only good things about AK\'s. I spent awhile looking for the right one, then I found it.

Very awesome dude. My first rifle will either be an AK-47 or an AR-15 not sure yet. I\'m thinking an ar-15 because my father knows some people and he has built many up himself. But very cool man!

Romanian AKs are very well made...
in contrast to say...an Egyptian.

As far as ARs ar concerned...

You gotta be careful though with some of those AK\'s around now. Some are made from less the quality materials if you know what I mean.
The local Pawn shop tried selling me a MAADI (Egyptian AK) but it was really used and abused.

I heard the BATF stopped all imports of AK\'s and AK barrels from overseas, so they say the price will be going up.

I like RRA AR-15\'s also, but I will wait to get one when I can fork over $800-$1,000 for a rifle.
