Does anyone know, are there any ill effects on dying mask hair?

I mean, if I dye mask hair, will the hair weaken and eventually break, fray, or fall off?

    Or is it okay?

well when you dye hair period, it weakens and cant break or fall out. you should find out what the hair is made out of and call up the local beauty supply store and ask them.

Your better off just using an airbrush to change the hair color of a mask.

    Thanks for the suggestions...

Fang - are there any side effects of painting the hair? I mean, I suppose it will stiffen the hair, no?

    Has anyone else done this?

Did it look good, or did it look stupid?

Your supposed to thin down t he paints with water while airbrushing the hair, shouldn\'t leave it stiff.

Airbrushing a masks hair with thinned paint works decently but it will make it a bit stiff no matter what. Your best to find out what kind of glue is used on the mask and how strong the bond is. If its something like latex and has a very strong bond you can most likely get away with dying it. I\'ve dyed the hair on a couple masks I\'ve made and it hasnt had any bad effects on the hair.
