Ive Been Very Sick...

A few weeks ago I got really wasted and was of course hung over, but the thing is that once the hang over was gone I started getting all sorts of new symptoms. I had a tremendously sore throat...I mean really sore... kind of like strep, completely plugged up ears, and pink eye in both eyes. I had to goto the emergency room because it hurt so bad and it just kept getting worse by the hour.

I started taking some antibiotics and vicodin for the pain and I pretty much recovered from all that within 3 or 4 days. Me, overestimating my immune system stopped taking the full dose of antibiotics when I started feeling normal again.

Here I am, it is coming back and my throat hurts like a b***h, ears are plugged again. Ive been coughing crap up left and right and it just keeps on comin.

Anyone here gotten sick recently like this?

Hey man, when you are on antibiotics you HAVE to finish all of your perscription. It won\'t do you any good if you stop taking it when you start feeling better. Call your Doctor back and see if you can get a refill and tell him/her that you didn\'t finish it. Hope this helps!

Yeah I know, when you stop taking it too early, your body gains a resistance to it and the sickness comes back even stronger. Ive never had anything like this so I didnt take it seriously enough.

Later on I am going to start taking a different type of antibiotic so hopefully all goes well. Damn this vicodin really works!

My job requires very long hours sometimes 16 hr days for 5 - 6 days a week and then I try to go to the gym 3-4 days a week.
Last winter I had a terrible cold and couldnt shake it for about a month, month and a half. Needless to say i eventually took a week off and slept alot and it went away. Point is, never underestimate rest and your meds.
