Yeah I'm sure the piece will be killer  Its just that if he hasn't begun my piece of if he knows for sure the thing won't be finish before the end of the week, don't reply me that my bust is "nearly complted" and that it will be shipped before the end of the week.

I collect stuff for many time now and I can wait when someone tells me my stuff is not yet ready. It's when a maker lie to you that you begin to stress about your order... I wouldn't be angry and I wouldn't be stressing about it...

I'll certainly agree with you here. Well known mask maker or not.... nobody should feed customers these lines just to appease them for a short term. It's better to be honest and simply tell the person waiting that things got behind and it will take longer than expected.

    Definitely not cool.

Thanks for the support chainsaw. I really don't want to afraid sauronTD with this... I just told the fact about my purchase. I can understand he got behind and I'm sure I'll get my stuff someday. I know his work is top notch and that the guy is well respected.

I just wanted to be clear that there's no bashing here or anything against this well known artist. I really respect the guy and his work. Be sure that I will post tons of pictures of the beast when I'll get it  and keep us updated sauronTD.

    Take care guys.

I think the only reason he would tell his customer "it will be out next week" is because he thinks he will get it done but gets tied up. I can't wait for my pieces from Erich as well, as well as my brothers piece from Erich.

After my dream girl I will order a Cropsy  I think his sculpt and painting is KILLER. His prices are also pretty decent for the great quality he offers.

I find it weird that Erich would do that, I had a paint job done by him and ordered a dream girl bust. My dream girl bust arrived about a month after I ordered it, and even though the paint job took a little longer than that he always got back to me within a few days of my emails and shipped it out when he said he would. It is really so worth the wait I will assure you, both pieces are stunning.

Erich is one of the pillars in this community, great guy, fantastic artist. I've only had good dealings with him, and have had some great chats with him! The thing I think get's most people, what B47 touched on, the 'it'll be done soon' line. It's tough, I've got that many times myself, and being (somewhat) an artist, making pieces I've given that line to people too. It's an easy place holder basically, not saying it's right, or excusing it, but when the people with good reps say that, they actually do mean it. Sometimes though pieces take longer then expected, things come up in life, what ever the reason is for not having it done is usually out of that person's hands. I'm not trying to speak for Erich, or any other artist, just maybe give an insight into the classic line Wink It's never ment with any ill-intent when it comes from a good guy, and Erich is that without question.

I ordered a Dream Girl in May & never got it yet.

Erich was always quick to email me back & update on the progress of my order.

I'll take a good deal of pictures when I'll get it.
