I ended up going to see a private screening of the Messengers last night. It wasn\'t horrible, but wasn\'t good either. Nothing new really took place. It\'s your typical amityville horror movie setting and all of the scares are really just cat scares (what\'s new in Hollywood right?). This flick is basically a combination of Amityville + The Birds + Sixth Sense + The Grudge (fx wise). The acting is surprisingly good however... it\'s just a shame they didn\'t develop the movie a little better. The storyline is a little bland at first and then it suddenly falls into place. I was hoping for something with more of a twist like The Ring, but got something completely different and boring in return. I\'d say this movie is a rental at best because it definately falls into the category of PG-13 so-so horror flicks. Imho the amityville remake makes this movie look pretty lame. I didn\'t want to give out any spoilers just in case you\'re really pumped about seeing this one, but don\'t let the trailers throw you off. The ending left much to be desired.

Every time that commercial comes on my wife makes me change the channel. Due to my work schedule she is home alone alot and little kid ghosts freak her out.

I had a feeling it was prob. pretty cheesy, thanks for confirming it. Ill prob. just wait until its out on DVD.

Ya my friend Candice does the same thing. I keep telling her that the movie probably sucks anyway but she\'s still scared.

    So it was basically...

Creepy Music > Creepy Music Stops > Boom! SCARE!

Seriously, I don\'t understand why people said that The Decent was so original. It\'s all the same crap. So predictable.

The Descent was better than this flick. But yea, it\'s pretty predictable through most of it. Also there were too many things that didn\'t make sense.

The gray legs floating across the floor were about the coolest thing. CGI isn\'t overdone at least.
