Hey guys, I know I've been away for a while. My dad had a stroke almost two weeks ago. He has since passed away. This was a tremendous shock to my family and myself because my dad was healthy as an ox.My dad and I were very close. He was 75 years old (he would have been 76 this March). He was laid to rest at Pinelawn Cemetery in Long Island NY. My Dad served in the US Navy during the Korean War and he had a very nice military send off.My dad was my hero and I will miss him tremendously. He was also the most successful man I know.He might not have been successful in occupation or money, but he and my mom raised a family of 9 (6 boys & 3 girls)on a single Freelance artists income. He taught us what it meant to earn a dollar and how a job, even if you didn't like it, was still a job.He taught us about respect and how important it is to help others. He showed us the importance of values, morals and family. He let me know at a very young age that it was OK to laugh at crude and disgusting humor (and for those of you that know me, this is where I got my sense of humor from).Even though I know my dad is no longer here, he will be with me forever.~Pierre Girard~March 29, 1932-January 4, 2008-Justin

i'm almost at a loss for words . i remember when my mom was in the hospital while she had hers and a close family friend came over to the house to see how i was doing and we talked about the chance of her not making it and what would happen after but thankfully she did make it through and i honestly don't know what i would've done if she didn't . but just talking about it nearly killed me and i really don't know what you are going through but you def. have my thoughts and prayers . even tho i didn't know your dad , he has my respect for what he gave to this country . if you ever need to talk , i'm only a phone call away . mike,

I'm so sorry to hear this bro.My condolences to you and yours.
I have a ritual called \\\"terminator\\\". I crouch in the shower in the \\\"naked terminator\\\" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
