I would like to have seen the chain he was selling. I'm sure they picked up quite a bit of it when the film was in production, so I wouldn't doubt he'd have a few rolls of it left over.

Wow, looks cool to me. But you are right, he could easily just buy chain and pass it as production used. But eh, guess we will never know.

In just the last 90 days alone he's sold 4 of those "original shooting script" which he's been selling for quite some time. 4 of his "original set piece" plastic chain that i know he posts a few times a month for over a year, and about 5 of his "original studio made copies of story boards" which he's be selling for some time.I just think this guy uses the phrase "original" or "production used" a little to loosely. Those story boards look like a 20th generation copy.

Well I purchased my script years ago, and it looks unique. You can clearly tell the pages are very old, and the paper brads holding them together even look aged. I'm pretty certain mine is an original, but I agree with you and highly doubt the ones that he has on ebay nowadays aren't the real deal.

This was added to the knife auction:Q: Hi. I'm confused. Is the knife screen-used or is it not? Thanks very much Jun-29-08A: Hello, and sorry for the confusion. This is a production used behind the camera used piece. It hwas modified during production and is a "twin" to the screen used (shot on film) knife. This was the knife that was molded to make specialty knives for the film. So this knife was used to make the screen used knife that stabs the young man in the ear in the motor home. This knife was just used to make the mold and is not that actual knife. Thank you for your interest.I guess for you hardcore fans this is awesome. I just wouldn't know how to explain to people I show it to exactly what it is and why its special. I just have a very strong feeling he will have another one of these for sale very soon.

To clear up the confusion on what the item on eBay is exactlyBig Grinuring production the FX guys (Forsche and company) had to come up with a stunt knife and several copies for fx shots. They got a couple real knives, took the blade from one and the handle from another and kitbashed them into a new knife. They then cast that new "combo" knife to make the hero knife and all the stunt rigged knives for the film. The knife he is selling is the "combo" knife they used to make the mold for the prop knives. So its really more of production used tool rather than a prop per se. Obviously it was never on screen, just like the sculpt of the hockey mask was never on screen, just copies molded off it. Its still a very cool item. I don't think you will see another come up from Forsche that is an actual knife, I'm sure they have only one. Resin copies maybe.... if he finds the mold or makes new one before sending this knife out....(fingers crossed)....if he has the hockey mold still he might have the knife mold.....and who knows what else? I spoke to him at a con and he says he has tons of stuff in boxes, he'll be digging through them over the next couple months for eBay....mostly Nightmare stuff from what he said.Idenyifying the brand of 2 vintage knives used and then bashing them to make a copy of the stunt knife is a possibility, if someone here buys it maybe we'll be able to figure out the brands like the Part IV poster knife.
