Funny you mention that. I saw that in the SE and laughed. I hear that Lucas has changed it back to Han shooting first in the newest releases though.

And if they exchanged Sebastian Shaw (Anakin, at the end of ROTJ) with Hayden Christiansen, I WILL mail my copy of the DVD\'s to George Lucas and demand a refund.

You guys really need to lighten up it\'s only movies it\'s not someone rewrote the bible... oh wait they did that. well it\'s not like soembody rewriting the constitution...oh wait thats been done too. Tongue what I\'m trying to say is things change over time they are updated to remain relavent that is the case with star wars I for one am glad they are being updated further I love the idea of the emperor from ESB being swapped out to Ian and While not a fan of all the changes he did to the SE\'s (the dance number) I have to say IMO they brought the movies up to date for next generation of children, and remember these movies are primarily for children. Less than 4 months ago I had the opportunity to see the "classic" uncut versions of the movies, and all I could concentrate on was how bad everthing looked. I for one will be at the store as soon as I wake up on tuesday and I could care less what new changes he made to the movies I\'m sure everthing will serve for better continuity with the prequels

I shall not, and I will not start a friggin war over them screwing up Star Wars on this board. Though they did mess up a good thing, and Star Wars was as relevant IN IT\'S ORIGINAL FORM, in 1977 as it will be in 2077, these movies are not KIDS movies. Watch the documentary on the DVD, a part of it was on A&E the other day.... they specifically said that these were not intended to be children\'s movies, although the marketing was so easily directed towards children, and children were huge fans. Bottom line, don\'t give me that "update" horseshit, this ISN\'T the constitution, or the Bible, it\'s a movie that millions of people love in it\'s ORIGINAL form... ORIGINAL. You want \'em to go back and put a Hockey Mask on Jason in Pt 2? Or Make Jason the killer in the original Friday the 13th, just because he is the person most associated with the film series. That would be updating it. Or you want \'em to go back and put a Resurrection mask on Michael in the first movie, or replace Donald Pleasance with Busta Rhymes? It is afterall what TODAY\'S audience associates Michael Myers with. That\'s a BS argument.

    JCG

P.S. These movies are not for children, watch \'em with kids and then ask the kids what the movie is about... maybe THEN you\'ll figure that out.

 Well guys, thanks for sharing the info on the changes. It was all news to me. Hell, I was already furious because I found out they were gonna be the special editions!! Fuck George Lucas, and his faggot beard! I for one will NOT be buying these piece of shit movies. I have my ORIGINALS on vhs and they\'ve been good for the last 10 years or so. Unless he decides to put the originals on dvd when he releases the 146,597 millionth edition of the box set, I ain\'t buyin the shit. That faggot bitch Lucas is such a cash WHORE!!!! SHAME ON YOU GEORGE LUCAS!!!!!

Lucas shouldnt have put stuff in the prequals that would make him have to edit the origionals, plain and simple...i cannot get over what he did to Boba Fett, that alone destroys The Empire Strikes Back...are they gonna replace Yoda with a CG version now? Boba\'s voice was a huge part of his character, and Lucas killed that.

I\'m glad we kept all our old VHS copies of the trilogy. (We gots the original boxed set along with the rerelease after they purtied it up.)

I\'m still gonna nab the DVD\'s but I\'m going to be MAD that they dubbed over fett, I loved his voice.. *sobs*
