Personally, I'd rather see another AVP film. The first one was meh, second one was pretty decent and I think a third one might actually be pretty good.

I too don't normally mind remakes but this one is headed for disaster. A L I E N was a perfect film. Every actor, every scene, lighting, cinematography, the Alien itself....PERFECTION. There is absolutely NO WAY on earth to improve upon the original in any conceivable way. This is as stupid as the Psycho and Halloween remakes...........Larry

I've wondered if they were going to keep the same design for both Alien and Predator, I hope so.

I hope they don't screw this one up too. I fear that they are going to cast some lame actress to play Ripley, and try and make her a tough, and fail miserably. The thing is Girls like Signorine Weaver, and Linda Hamilton didn't have to act like that, they just were. One thing I hate is these newer movies, they try and make some of these chicks like that, for instance in Freddy Vs Jason. That lead girl was awful at trying to act tough. AVP they also did it. The descent was another instance where a defenseless girl all of a sudden becomes a killing machine? I can only hope they don't do that with this movie.

the alien design is too classic for them to revamp it...i really hope they stick to the original creature design...on the other hand i truly think its time that we see another alien film..so im excited for this remake......the only thing im really concerned about is the casting of ellen ripley..i really hope they dont cast some curvacious large breasted chick who runs around screaming for her life for the majority of the movie....ellen ripley is a strong and brave character who really fought for her life and her heroism shows throughout the entire alien saga....my pick for ellen ripley would have to be elizabeth banks <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />
