There are actually 3 alternate versions to the movie. The one that has never surfaced was played at a film festival and that one actually sounds the best.

The throat slit ending sounds like it would be the one that haunts you most.... but its a rumor and I haven't seen it.I prefer the theatrical version to the alternate, which I just watched yesterday. Too long and drawn out.

I like the theatrical one better. Love the idea of the alternate ending, but as Chad said, it's way too drawn out. Theres one little thing i wish they would have done differently with the theatrical ending. Instead of jumping at the camera after smelling/licking Mikah, i wish she would have just looked up at the audience with an evil little smile with maybe a creepy little giggle. I thought the jump was a little cheesy. even though this particular alternate ending kinda sucked as well, I think anything is better than the original that I saw in theatres. the entire movie was halfway realistic until he flies into the camera and she comes out looking like linda blair.whatever neckslit scene you all speak of sounds great. hopefully it will be on the dvd.
