As some of you know, I've been goin through a pretty rough patch health wise the last while, with no real end in sight it's pretty tough to keep up spirits. Without going into too much personal details, an outlet I've been using as a distraction/place to focus my obsessive nature has been more model kits, and it's proved better then any of the countless friggin meds I'm on. Temporary it may be, it's one of the very few reliefs I've found to be effective. Of course after being at my table for a couple hours, I'm a mess and usually need help up the stairs, but mentally it's a saving grace. That being said, I got a couple really nice pieces I've been working on the last 3 or so weeks, and am glad to finally show em off! This one is a kit I've had my eye on for some time, I love the character design, and so many possibilities that came with it. I chose to go with a post apocolyptic, wasteland scavenger type of character, and with the detail on this guy, it meant for a pretty intensive paint scheme. I lost track of how many actual colours that I used on him, I'd venture to guess pretty close to 20 or so. One of the funnest paint jobs I've done, since I could just let my mind go as creative as possible, so there's elements of steam punk, Mad Max, a little zombie thrown in, high tech, low tech, military from WWII to modern, to futuristic. I added a ton of stuff to him aswell, parts here and there, junk for the base, the radioactive container LOL The overall outcome I don't think I could be happier with, if all kits went this well, it'd be a friggin miracle LOL Now to stop babbling and get to the pics Wink

Travis, the paint on that is absolutely awesome. I couldn't be creeped more by that! The bottom half of body looks so real. The sculpture is also very nice, your paint work really complements it. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> This is the first I'm hearing of your health. I sincerely hope it turns around for you Trav.-Joe
