I loved the original TMNT Black&White comics, but once they became campy, half-shelled pansies in the cartoons ( and the live action movies ) I couldn't take it anymore. LOL

the original cartoons are classic . the first 2 movies were amazing but i'm not taking anything away from the comic . i just hope that they don't look like that in the new movie . that pic looks like they are CGI and not suits . just remember the last movie that was made if you have a problem with my opinion . face wise , they look like those goomba guys from the mario movie

I don't have a problem with anyones opinions......and I hope nobody has problems with mine. I can say this though........I was 10-11 years old when the cartoons hit it big and 12 when the first movie came out. The only thing I liked about it was that the suits were an incredible achivement. They looked stunning...........but the story was still to campy for me. The 2nd movie was horrible. The 3rd one.............well we won't even begin to talk about it. That last TMNT CGI movie was also garbage.I hope this one will be action packed, and with dark undertones........but most of all I hope it isn't 99% CGI.

it would be kind of weird though because since people are so used to seeing the colorful and campy style of the turtles, a drastic approach from funny to dark and serious overtone would be unfitting for some....i grew up watching the first two ninja turtles films and would like to see that same approach...

I'm not saying have them as maniacal mutant reptiles.............I would like to see something like "Punisher: War Zone" meets "Ninja Assassin" <( Not storyline wise, but the way the movies looked visually ). Some humor but not "clownish". Something for the 20-40 year old crowd, who wants something that is violent ( but not gore ), has adult language ( not overly filled with cussing, but c'mon, they are supposed to be teenage and living in a NY sewer........wouldn't you be cussing? ) and has a compelling storyline........not another version of the cartoonish turtles we got as kids.

In order to keep up with the fads of todays youth, I can sadly see the remake turtles either being emo or from the looks of that picture, thug gangsters with one of them being voiced by Busta Rhymes. I like your idea of a darker version 420 but I just dont think they are going to pull this one off and if they do, it will shock me.

Have any of you seen that newer animated movie they did called Turtles Forever? Towards the end, they have the original black and white comic book versions of the turtles that are less cartonny and comedic.
