I received this beautiful piece from my chum, Mr. Mayne awhile ago. He stands just under 2\' tall.
I decided to paint him up, and give him to my daughter for Christmas, as she LOVES the \'monster\' from Frankenstein. That\'s her favorite.
This piece, sculpted by Tony Mcvey back in 1998, is just amazing, and I believe captures the \'kindness\' of Karloff\'s \'monster\'.
I decided to go \'retro\' on the green for him, as that\'s how the \'monster\' was always drawn or depicted back in the 80\'s when I was growing up. I also had to sculpt the electrodes out of pottery clay, let them dry and harden, and paint and add them to the neck. I made the daisy using material from \'Michaels\', lol. Anyway, when he was all done, I sprayed him with crystal clear, to seal the paint job. I\'m pretty happy with the turn-out, and think my daughter will like him as well.
Following are a bunch of pics showing him before and after the \'paint-up\'. I hope you enjoy them, and Merry Christmas to everyone! Big Grin
