Hey, is there some political or otherwise pragmatic reason for the no swearing rule? It seems like it is mentioned by people in a sort of "tongue in cheek" manner.

I would have assummed a weblog devoted to the celebration of fictional or non-fictional mass murderers would care less about the occasional "bad word."

    Bottomline: Killing=okay. Swearing=f\'n horrible.

I think the rule pertains to swearing when it really is not needed. For instance if you say a mask is the shit or cool as hell, I don\'t think anyone really cares... it usually goes unnoticed. On the other hand, if you say, "I f*ckn got a new mask today and the moth*rf*ck*r is off the gd chain" - this is really unnecessary.

What I\'m saying is that the rule may be that you can\'t swear at all on the boards.... but the mods here are very lenient and only ban those who deserve it. As long as you aren\'t out of control or use these words constantly or w/out reason, then you should be just fine.

It\'s a rule set up by the people who run this board. Obey it, and don\'t ask questions. If you don\'t like it, leave. Bottom line, simple as that.

There is an ordinance on this board for persons not to swear. As long as it is controlled and I don\'t see it on a consistant basis from any certain individual than there isn\'t a problem. If I have a problem with language I will PM you warning. If it doesn\'t resolve the problem then you will be banned of the board. This board deals with or favorite killers but if you think about it none of the killers featured on this board swear or even talk (if you want to get technical). Just keep the swearing to a minimum, and have fun!!!!!

Sweet Christ, you\'d think I just cut a man.

I have not sworn once. In fact, I don\'t believe I have been anything but professional and respectful on this board. My "questioning" is nothing more than seeking knowledge. Look at my original post. I wanted to know if their was a PRAGMATIC reason for this...even more importantly, a legal one. I wasn\'t complaining, I was asking.

If you catch me swearing, go ahead and call me out. But in the meanwhile, you don\'t have to jump on me by telling me (in a 3-part harmony-no less) to "OBEY or LEAVE." That\'s a good catchphrase of Orwellian proportions.

If nothing else, you got to admit that it\'s a tad bit funny that we are on a weblog that glorifies killing, and yet we tiptoe around the daisies when talking about it. This is funny irony no matter how you look at it.

No disrespect to anyone. I like this board. I\'m new to it. I\'m just getting acclimated.
