Quote:Those masks are awesome SPAZ, far better than so many of seen from the current top hockey mask makers.  My only 2 criticisms is that a) the cheek triangles on PART 5 are gray.  It is a common misconception that they are blue.  And B) the FvsJ1 looks too wide, but I\'m sure you can fix that.  They all look great though.  I\'ll definately be ordering a VS1 and a battle damaged VS from you in the future.
I think he saying that they\'re too blue. Maybe if you do a grey blue with alot more parts blue you can get a better blue for the triangles. For the part 8 mask, the cheek triangles need to be a little bit skinnier. As for the part 3 mask, I don\'t see a problem with the triangles, but that may be me.

That actually is what I meant. I should\'ve been more specific. If they were a little darker and more toward gray, it would be perfect.

Alright SPAZ, you asked for it, now brace yourself! Wink Don\'t mean any disrespect, just giving my honest opinions, and offering advice.

Part 3, Great shape and size! The triangles look very nicely done too. The weathering needs just a bit of work, not nearly so black in those spots, especially the nose. If you look at a fre screen shots the nose is actually pretty much completely white, looks like the paint was sanded off a bit. Then you could add the scratches, the light ones one the forehead, and the ones by the snaps.

Part 4, looks real good! Nice work! If you added a 2 part epoxy to the blood, it\'ll give it that chunky, gooey look, really adds a realism to it!

Part 5, again, nice work, the weathering looks great! The triangles could be a touch lighter, and solid though.

Part 6, a bit to white, if you gave it an all over light brownish wash it\'ll add a ton I think. The scratches are a touch off, but not too bad. Check out the pics Dan Drista has on his site for his Cropsy part 6 for an idea of what I\'m trying to say.

Part 7, not bad at all, can\'t really see the boat prop damage all that well, but from what I can see it looks good. The shading is pretty nice, but maybe a bit to orange in a couple spots.

Part 8, hardest mask in the series by FAR to capture right, and you\'ve done not too bad a job getting the look right. I think if you added a bit of a full light brownish wash it\'ll help break it up a tad, not give it such a solid look. Then a coat of VERY high gloss sealer.

Part 9, really nice work here, looks fantastic!! The weathering is excelent, I like that a lot.

FvJ1, weathering looks great, no problem there at all! But, the mask looks maybe a bit to wide, the FvJ mask had a bit of a narower apperance in the movie, if you heated that up a bit in the oven, (someone here should be able to give the right temp and time) you\'ll be able to bend it in some to get the perfect look.

FvJ3, You already know how I feel about this one, can\'t wait to buy one from you!!

Like I said, I don\'t mean any ill will to you SPAZ, just giving my honest opinions and trying to help you out.

First off Spaz, Great work they all look wonderful.

Some feedback for ya, NOT critisisum (sp?)

The part 6 does look a little white. I think the movie mask was a bit yellower

Is the part 8 too clean? Could look better with more of a dirty wash all over, Not too much but just enough to give it more of a used feel, especialy around the eyes.

Yeah, you\'re FvJ v1 does look a little wide but that could be down to the camera angle?

The FvJ v3 looks great but what about adding more finner scratches all over?

But the rest look great. Nice work!

Cornflower blue can be made by mixing navy blue (acrylic) with some white. Works nicely! Wink
