yeah I saw today there\'s a dvd for 19.99 that has the Creature from the Black Lagoon, another Creature movie (sequel?) and some cool behind the scenes/docu stuff.

I think I might have to pick that up this weekend. I have no idea why, but I really, really want to watch the creature from the black lagoon.

I dont member when my horror fixation started... all I can member was going to the video store when I was 5-6 and seeing the Friday the 13th VHS boxes and wanting to rent em.... that was right around the time Part 4-5 were out... and from there it snowballed into what it is now...

Funny thing is.... I have never, since watching the F13\'s/Halloween for the 1st time, had the same feeling watching modern horror movies as I did the ones when I was little!!

I was just thinking, lately I\'ve been thinking about the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Reading stuff online, looking to pick up the dvd soon, and looking through eBay auctions for Don Post calender mask reissues of the Creature. Now what\'s interesting to me is,..........I\'ve never seen the movie!! One day I just woke up and was like, "Hey, the Creatures cool!" and then I started looking at more stuff online about it.

now what I wonder is,....why? and what started it? I\'ve never had any interest in the Creature or the old B&W horror movies beyond what I caught on Sunday tv growing up. But lately I\'m thinking about the Creature.

anyway, I really don\'t know what the actual point of this post was, I just think it\'s kind of interesting that you can wake up one day with an interest in a monster you never really paid much attention to before.

Maybe I had a dream or something about the Creature and just woke up with it on the brain or something.

Same thing happened with Myers, I just woke up one day and was like, "wow, how could I have missed how cool he is ! ? ! ?"

so uh, this kinda stuff ever happen to you guys? Or is it just official that I\'m wierd, lol.

I started on old B/W horror movies it was cool
Till I saw Jason for the first time in pt6 and I was like O MY GOD this is the coolest thing I have ever seen
from that point on my life was changed
I tossed all my toys and went to Hollywood all the time with my Mom finding Horror stuff

well i was lucky enough to have a mother that loved horror and since i can remember i would go to video stores with her and get all the horror we could. Of course now she doesnt like it much but im still trying to watch every horror movie ever made hehe j/k but i have to say what started me on myers is seeing the cover on the box and wanting to see it, same as texas chainsaw and jason, id just pick them up and start watching and ive been hooked ever since.

This is a hillarious topic because it brings up a great question that I can really relate to. I\'ve done the same thing millions of times with different stuff, epecially horror characters that I just started obsessing on for no apparent reason....makes ya wonder.
