I am stoked... the theatre by me is having a midnight showing of saw v. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going to see this movie and there thoughts.I am personally a HUGE saw fan. Loved 1,2,3, and well 4... we all know that was starting to stretch the story to make money. I looke at saw like the star wars fills. New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi were the shit... then they released three more movies that had the "Star Wars" label on them, but would never amount to what the first three films did. Just my take on the series. But, with saw 4 opening up another ball of wax I am still thrilled to see what happens and watch the new traps. I read a lot from saw haters, and honestly I don't get it... compared to the horror movie competition of the past few years, I think saw ranks high.

In my opinion, Saw would have been the ideal stand alone film. The first one was so great. Great twists and shit. The second was almost as good. The third was mediocre at best and it's downhill from there.

Coming from someone who isnt really a fan I actually think 4 (which isnt that great) is better than 3. There is some ridicoulous shit in three like the pigs.

Alright just got back from the seeing it, and I would say for what its worth its a goog addition. I thought David Hackyl did a pretty good job directing... They kinda dug a hole with the fourth film and this provided a little relief, I thought the entire movie was better than the fourth film by far. I thought the story was overall decent. The ending... well you will just have to wait and see.

I loved the first Saw and actually enjoyed the 2nd. The 3rd was brutal... but that's it.... just a gorefest, nothing special. I didn't bother to see 4 and probably won't see 5 unless I'm desperate for a horror flick someday. These films just aren't the same anymore.
