2. how can i age copper and brass so they looks REALLY old?

1) i use aviation snips, they work well for me.
2)usually its a matter of trial and error to invent your own method of weathering. Ive got my own and it woks fine

There are all different things you can use to cut out the metal. Aviation Snips could work I would have to try them out on some metal or you could use a Jigsaw.

Then to weather them when you first buy brass or any type of metal it comes laquered. You have to get the laquer off using a steel wool and when it\'s off you can get em weathered really good. To weather them you would need some sort of chemical. Sulfuric Acid works on weathering metals as well as any other type of chemical base. Also some sort of oxide would work as well. Really don\'t know how to acquire them I heard it\'s pretty hard. If you take Chemistry in high school ask your teacher about it and he would help you out on it and am sure he could tell ya.

And for the blades it self you would either make them out of steel. Use a bench grinder to make them nice and sharp and a lil bit of shape as well.

3/16 for the steel blades or aluminum

and 16 to 22 gauge copper or brass

Gilt Rivets are what is used to hold the glove together.

Solder is used to connect the blade to the finger part, but if you use aluminum it has to be multi alloy Flux Solder.

Most of this can be found at the local hardware store.

Good luck on the glove, and if you really want to be insane on accuracy. You need a Wells Lamont Leather Glove. Straight Thumb like what was used in the movie, and it has to have a ball and wrist clasp then cut the bottom of the glove out like it was in each movie.
