Just leave the latex in the mold longer... Isn\'t that common sense?

Leave the latex sitting in the mould for a couple of hours, i usually throw the heater on in the workshop on low and leave the mould close by, then empty it back into the container and leave the mould up ended to drain for a half hour or so.
I then leave it overnight and then powder and pop the mould apart works a treat for thick castings
If you want it to dry quicker i usually put a hairdryer in the open end and leave it for an hour or so, checking it every ten minutes or so to see its not getting too hot, i leave it on a warm setting, not on full, this quickens up the drying time, but is supposed to weaken the finished casting, i have never had a problem with doing it this way though.
    Hope this helps
The longer you leave the mould filled with latex the thicker the casting will get, the plaster obsorbs the moisture out of the liquid and leaves a buildup of rubber on the surface on the mould

You gotta buy a bottle of XT2240 and mix it with a bottle of W3FR, you can find them at your local hobby and craft store. Once you get them combine them with your latex and i\'ll make the Latex pulls alot bigger.

Fang is right, if you\'re looking to make it a bit more firm like for a display bust, take the xt2240, the w3fr and add a few squirts of ctn987. Don\'t add to much though because if theres alot in there it\'ll make it brittle.

Man, I love idiots that come on the board and act like they know what they\'re talking about and trying to give advice! BAD advice! For your information, the W3FR is TOXIC and was taken off the shelf more than a year and a half ago. And the XT2240 is only sold at home improvement centers, NOT hobby stores, as it\'s now considered a home improvement item. Get your facts straight before you go offering bad advice!!

That\'s right, but I dont think he was PLANNING on eating the W3FR, it says right on the bottle TOXIC and your supposed to use gloves while using it.

EDIT: I just talked to home depot here and they still carry the W3FR.
