Mask Shelves?

hey guys? could one of yall tell me the right size for about a 4-6 ft. long mask shelf. all I need to know is how far out the board should be from the wall cause last time the board was to wide and fell. just need some help.

um...the shelf prongs or holders you buy should be the same size as the shelve width
