Syd Barrett Has Died.

I am taking this pretty hard, harder than I would have expected.
I grew up listening to syd barret, from piper at the gates of dawn to his solo albums.
supposedly he died a few days ago, but it wasn\'t released to the press.
Its funny becuase last weekend I was thinking about digging through some boxes to find three cds...
barrett, opel, and the madcap laughs.
This may have been because he had died on one of those days.
when I was in high school me and my buddies used to try to learn syd\'s guitar work, and improvise his style on guitar.
One of the founding members of pink floyd, Syd Barrett...wish you were here.

Well, there\'s hardly a Pink Floyd anymore...hasn\'t been in years, really.

How old was he?

He was 60 years old.

Yeah, that suckles...though it may be better for him. I\'m not sure he was the most stable person all these years. It\'s a bit weird seeing as how I was listening to some old Floyd just last night for the first time in awhile...then this moprning my friend emails me the news of his death.
