    Ok guys.

I\'m gonna be getting an HDTV LCD and i\'m going to be getting 360 soon after that. My friend told me that if I play Xbox 360 on it to long it\'ll wind up looking like filth larn flarm filth (The TV) This is an 700+ TV so I wanna make sure that the XBox isn\'t gonna kill it.

Will the Tv be ok or should I get one with the back and not an LCD?

This is the one I was thinking of getting...............

If I don\'t leave the same picture on the screen and it keeps moving, I should be fine right?

The LCD\'s do not burn in with stationary pictures at all so have at it

The Plasma\'s used to have a huge problem with that but some of the newer models do not have a burn in problem - especially the LG\'s as they have a subtle shift in the pixels every so often that is undetectable that gaurds against it.

If you do not have a lot of direct sunlight coming in and are not playing in too enclosed of a space the DLP route is the best for price.
DLP though will not be as crisp a picture if you have a lot of sunlight coming in - if you DO LCD is the way to go.

I have my 360 ( and soon a PS3 also) hooked up to a 65" 1080P HP television and the picture is awesome especially at night. Since mine is in a darkened home theater area is is also good during the day but if there was a lot of direct sunlight coming in it would suck.

Make sure you hook up your 360 with either the Compnent video cords or even better pay the few extra bucks and hook it up with the VGA computer cords for even crisper picture.

If you can afford it - 1080P not I is the way to go.

Hope this helps - I may not be an expert on masks but TV\'s is my thing
    Take care

We have been using a samsung 17" LCD at myGame Crazy, with zero burn in, its been over a year 1080i on it. Hell, the 360 didn\'t even last 8 mos. the screen should give you no problems.

Now for the pro\'s and cons.

Dlp however amazing and top of the line(as with any projection monitor) has a bulb, this bulb is 200-900$ to replace! and you will have to replace it eventualy, granted they are 60,000 (give or take) hour bulbs or somthing but paying 1\4th what you paid for the tv to replace the bulb to me is rather pricy.

what i plan to do is get myself a 20 inch wide screen lcd just for gaming and leave the other tv for watching tv. i dunno its up to you. i however like the fact i have it all plugged in one spot. i don\'t like having "stations" for my stuff a computer station and a gaming station and a tv. but if it saves me cash in the long run....

as for connections make sure it has atleast DVI on it, not sure if there is a dvi for x360 yet but if opssable do it.

You could also spend 300$ on a computer monitor and get the rgb(or again dvi ) connection and have 720p(i think)regaurdless it will look lightyears better than any standard television.
