Cell Phone Fiasco.

Well I\'d like to share this story because it\'s amusing....


Last night I got home from the bar (I was actually out with a board member here..jon L)

Anyway i\'m about to go take a leak and my cell phone falls right in the toilet.

Now when I open it it\'s going nuts and all the features are all over the place...then the screen goes black

This has happened before and I was determined to fix this phone!

I took the battery out right away because I knew that would be the main reason it gets fried...

I dry it off as best I can, take it apart, dry it again with a hair drier..

Next, I soak the entire phone in rubbing alcohol to displace the rest of the water and help it dry out even more later

then, I dry it in the oven at 100 degrees for 3 hours today.

Long story short, I pop the battery back in and my phone turns right on as if nothing had ever happened....

Just call me Macguiver...

Usually I rarely post non-horror or mask posts but this is just too cool!

LOL!!!!

I had this happen with my samsung a950 a few weeks back. I did the same thing exept put it in the oven worked fine!!! Last week i dropped the bastard again on concrete, it never woke back up. :angry:

I took it back to verizon and said it died, they gave me another.. one thing though on most cell phones, theres a white small round sticker usually under the battery. This sticker usually turns pink when it gets water on it. I took the pink one off and put the white one off of a older phone..hehe!! I always wondered why they take the battery off and look in it to determine if its water damage just by looking at it.. someone finally told me.. unforunately for them!!!!!!!

socks that happened Dan. Did it fall into the toilet after you pissed? I once dropped my phone in a lake while I was building a raft. Lost a chicks number who I was starting to date and had no way to get in touch with her. She didn\'t buy the story either months later when I ran into her at a club.
