So, okay. I\'m really going nuts right now and it\'s hard to contain my enthusiasm, but I\'ll try...
I ordered a "Crash Deluxe Part IV" in late October from www.frightstuff.com because I love their work... Those of you who know me personally are probably aware of how hard I am to satisfy, replica-wise, so it should be no surprise to anyone that I gave Crash the usual rundown: absolute best reference I had of Dick Warlock\'s original hero part 4 hockey mask, as well as my clearest screen caps, and told him something closely resembling "Take as long as you like, but make this the most accurate part 4 you\'ve ever done. Every scratch, crack, and spot must be matched to the best of your ability." He said he would, and that was that.
Well, 2 and a half months later, after losing a larger than average portion of my mind, he sends me the pics of the finished product. I.....am....obliterated. Needless to say, I have no further desire for a part 4 replica mask...This thing has ENDED my search for the "99.9% visual perfection" that everyone told me was unreachable. Those of you who have the reference I spoke of earlier can compare photos to see just how immensely accurate this mask is...It\'s unreal!!! Crash says he\'s mailing it out tomorrow, and I CAN\'T. WAIT. to receive it!
I\'d like to thank him for his STELLAR patience, understanding, and cooperation with me...I know it can get really f*cking annoying to deal with someone as geeky as I am.
