I mean, I\'m sure many of you probably won\'t agree with me, but, just my opinion, I think after part 1, the series went to hell. Part 2 was an ok movie, but the masks changed through out the series it seems like, and they look more corny, Don\'t you people kinda notice that? And another thing, They are not even scary, and simply, really don\'t get that much better. Part 1 was far the best, especially while the freaky ass music went with the movie, and the killing scenes were classic, and Michael Myers actually seemed scary, and the mask looked good, unlike the other movies.

The Nightmare on elm street series, was good, at least most of them. Part 1 and 2 are my first favorites, along with dream warriors, the 3rd one. But then, the dream child was a little weird, and Freddy\'s dead was pretty good, and New Nightmare wasn\'t all that bad, but I like that the least, partially because it really wasn\'t part of the actual nightmare world.

I loved the Friday the 13th series, mostly parts 1- 4. Part 5 was stupid cause well, I think you all know why that is. Part 6 and 7 were good, an 8, but 9 and 10. Jason goes to hell was a little wack, jumping bodies, and the fact that he looked way different than the old Jason look. JasonX, just wasn\'t the best. The effects on the other hand were good, but just the whole plot was poor, and some of the lines I laughed at, something like, "It\'s Jason fucking Voorhees!!!" How corny.

But yeah, of those series, most of the sequels were good, but Halloween?? I really don\'t know. But hey, it\'s just an opinion, so say what you feel. I\'d just like to hear what you people think about it.

    OK I\'ll bite...
Halloween 1 is probably hands down one of the best horror movies ever made. 2 was good because it completed the story line. We throw out 3 because we all know why! I thought 4 wasn\'t a particularly BAD movie, but definitely not the caliber of 1 or even 2. Two words...5 SUCKED! Mask sucked. Story sucked. The whole idea of Michael being part of some witch cult totally ruined the character. Much like seeing Boba Fett as a child in Star Wars Ep.2 ruined him! Smile

I really liked New Nightmare. I may be one of few, but it was a cool slant on things and not a bad movie at all. We\'ll directed and I kinda liked Freddy being a bulked up badass in that one. But of the originals I think 1, 2 and 3 are all the best. Dream Warriors was great!

Friday 3 will always have a place in my heart. It was the FIRST horror movie I watched when I was younger...and I\'ve been hooked since. LOVED Jason Lives and The New Blood. I toss out Part 5 like I do Halloween 3. If it ain\'t Jason, it aint shit! I don\'t like Jason running around on a boat or on the streets of New York, so 8 is out for me. 9 was OK, but I like JASON, not some little demon switching bodies thru most of the movie. X sucked hardcore. Sorry if that offends anyone who DID like it, but come on. It just blew. And lastly, I love FvsJ. I\'ve heard both sides of it, but I gotta say a fantastic movie. And when you compare the almost $90 mil it made at the box office compared to JasonX\'s entire run of only $14 something mil...you figure it out! Smile
It was responsible for getting me back into this genre. Because of so many sucky sequels for too long, I got bored of horror, but FvsJ was a great one to bring me back. Now I can\'t wait to get the box set of the old ones when they come out.

Just my 2 cents. Actually about $5 worth, but hey...

yea....Halloween 1 was the best...Nightmare 1 was the best....cant speak for F13 cause aint seen all yet...but still all had they\'re flaws....just to name a few...Halloween: when myers killed that chick n the car....while chokin her blood shoulda shot out cause of her heart pumping quicker....also...same scene...when u die u have no muscle streangth so after he killed her the horn shouldnt have continued to blow...
Nightmare: fred jumps out behind a tree.....gloves on left hand....shows him cut off fingers gloves on right hand...also Nancy\'s mom pulls out glove from furnace...its a left handed glove....
so all gr8 horror films had there mess ups...but all were still good.....

Wow, I guess its time to brake the news to you that in halloween 1 and 2 it was the same mask, a converted 75 kirk. I for one thought halloween 3 was a fantastic movie, and if you throw it out just because it doesn\'t have Myers your a fool. And I find it amussing Prime Time you are pointing out flaws in horror movied, ALL THESE MOVIES ARE FLAWS TO BEGIN WITH! Man burnt alive managing to stalk the dreams of his killers childern.....man who is driven by an overwelming power to kill must kill his entire blood line and because of this he himself can\'t die(weather shot, half expolded, stabbed, hangered lol). I mean, you can\'t point out flaws when you factor that in alone.

He does have a point, a good one at that. But everyone has an opinion, and I wasnt a big fan of part 3. Not just becasue Myers wasnt in it, just the movie itself.

lets see. I think all of the movies are good, I don\'t care. Some of course are going to be better then others, but none of them are unviewable or anything.

And give Roy some credit for Friday pt 5, he wracked up a huge body count, 21 I think.

On the bedside table next to Nancy in that scene of part one, it\'s not a Hockey Mask, it\'s a stuffed tony the tiger head, but it\'s hard to see above his nose. It does strangley resemble a ventholeless Hockey Mask from the side though, but it\'s a \'facing forward\' stuffed tiger head.

Nurse Freddys name tag in Nightmare 4 says: B. TROUP L.V.N. I have no idea what that means, but the Zoom don\'t lie.

you\'re right about Freds glove being on the left hand when he jumped out from behind the tree. It was a mirror shot, that\'s how they achieved the effect. It was actually on his right hand, it just \'reversed\' because of the mirror. There was no left hand glove made for this movie. One hero and two stunts gloves were made. However a left handed glove was made for part 2 and part 5 for shot\'s where Freddys in a mirror and he\'s supposed to look reversed.

And the glove Nancys mom pulls out of the boiler is a right hand glove. The thumb is folded over into the hole in the palm. The bottom of the glove is ripped and a flap of leather sticks up from the left side. This flap is commonly mistaken for the thumb. If you zoom in on the dvd, or turn to page 17 in "the nightmare never ends" you can see the thumbs tip and the stitching in the tip. It\'s a right hand glove. Most probably the Hero glove from the opening scene. It does have the same flattened finger ring on the first finger like the Hero glove, however from the angle the pic and film is, it\'s hard to tell if the pinkie ring has the same upward angle as the Hero glove.

Not trying to be a dick, just thought you might wanna now. I\'ve spent hours upon hours just pausing and looking at the gloves in each movie. Zoom, Slow Motion. Man, gotta love dvd.

you know, perhaps when Fred is in Dr gear, damn, was it 4 or 5? When Alices boyfriend is in the hospital room, it\'s very possible his name tag says Voorhees.

I should check that out. There\'s parts of 4 and 5 I always get mixed up in my head since it has some of the same characters.

If you\'re right man, good catch. That\'s pretty cool.
