On the same topic, I\'d like to get a used chainsaw (for a texas chainsaw massacre costume)

I want to bloody it up and of course disable the chainpart, i want to be able to run it so the noise will scare the crap out of people but not actually kill anyone or cut off any limbs. Has ayone done this?

Awesome chainsaws, but if anyone bought one and actually requested a teethless chain, I\'d call \'em a pansie. Tongue

I took the original blade of mine removed the original chain. Took a bike chain removed some links cut it to fit the blade. Used a really strong metal bond compound to keep the chain in place. Painted it up and let her rip! Best of both worlds people see a nasty blade with a chain but do not take notice to the fact it does not move at all and you still have the smoke and roar of the motor . Takes a bit of work but makes your costume look much better. My chain needs to be resealed it has become a little loose from being moved around alot.
