Score! Still In Vietnam

I'm not sure how many of you out there are big history buffs, but I just scored an authentic M1 Vietnam War Infantry helmet, circa 1969. I'm finishing my Master's Degree in History and I always thought it would be cool to have one of these displayed in my office.What do you guys think? Vietnam was before my time, but I had plenty of relatives who served. That looks aweosme dude, I love Vietnam era stuff myself and own a helmet and vintage death card from vietnam, Big Platoon fan aswell..........

Platoon was an awsome movie, though for vietnam war movie I preferr we were soliders that movie kicks ass.the helmet your getting is awsome its in great shape to.I myself am a fan of WWII, I love learning more about that time era.

BIG war and history buff here! From very very early, medieval, to modern era, I love and soak up history. And that is a beautiful M1, the leaf pattern covers are rare to find in that shape too, great find man!! Even better with the rank on the front! I\'ve got a few pretty neat things from WW2 myself, used to have a GI battle worn helmet with the net cover, they\'re pretty heavy duty!

That's awesome Trav....if I ever plan on getting another helmet...I was thinking about getting one with a net covering. What WWII items do you have?
